Privacy policy.
How ReSolve Global collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.
Last updated 19 August 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who we are
ReSolve Global operates the collection and preparation facility at Byron Bay, New South Wales, and the website at resolveglobal.com.au. In this policy, we, us and our mean ReSolve Global.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles.
Our privacy contact is enquiries@resolveglobal.com.au. Write to us there about anything in this policy, including a request for access to your information or a complaint.
2. What we collect
We only collect information we actually need to respond to you and to do the work. Through our enquiry form and in the course of business, that is:
- Your name
- Your email address and telephone number
- Your suburb or postcode
- Whether you are a homeowner, an installer or trade, or a commercial or institutional operator
- Details of the equipment you are asking about, including quantity and condition
- Any photographs you choose to upload
- Whether you intend to drop off or are asking about collection
- How you heard about us
If you go on to drop off or consign material, we also record the weight and description of what was received, the date, and the reference number issued to you.
We do not collect sensitive information as the Privacy Act defines it — health information, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or criminal record. Please do not send us any.
3. How we collect it
Almost always directly from you: through the enquiry form on this website, by email, by telephone, or in person at the site. We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect personal information from third parties without telling you.
Where the law allows, you can deal with us anonymously — for example, asking a general question by phone. We cannot arrange a drop-off or issue a recovery record without at least a name and a way to contact you.
4. Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and arrange a drop-off or collection time
- To weigh, log and account for the material you hand over, and to issue you a record of it
- To meet our record-keeping, reporting and regulatory obligations
- To improve how the service runs
We will not use your information for a purpose you would not reasonably expect. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to, and any we do send carries an unsubscribe link.
5. Who we disclose it to
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
We do use a small number of service providers to run the business. They handle your information only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:
- Zoho CRM
- Stores enquiry and customer records. Encrypted, and hosted in Zoho’s Australian data centre.
- Formspree
- Delivers the website enquiry form to us. United States based. Holds a copy of each submission.
- GoDaddy
- Hosts resolveglobal.com.au on Australian infrastructure and keeps standard server logs.
- Downstream processors
- Where material goes on for further processing, we pass on the material and its weight record. We do not pass on your contact details unless you have asked us to.
We may also disclose information where we are required or authorised to by law — for example to a regulator, or in response to a court order.
6. Overseas storage
Some of the services above store data outside Australia. Under Australian Privacy Principle 8 we have to tell you this plainly:
- Formspree processes and stores website form submissions in the United States. When you submit the enquiry form, the information you enter passes through and is retained on servers there.
Everything else stays in Australia. Our customer records are held in Zoho’s Australian data centre, and our website is hosted on Australian infrastructure.
We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you would rather your information were not sent overseas at all, contact us by telephone or email instead of using the website form and tell us so.
7. How we protect it
- Records are held in an encrypted customer relationship management system with access limited to staff who need it
- Accounts require individual logins and multi-factor authentication
- Paper intake records are kept secured on site and entered into the system promptly
- Access is removed when a staff member leaves
No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
8. How long we keep it
We destroy or de-identify personal information once we no longer need it. In practice:
- Enquiries that do not proceed
- 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Completed drop-offs and collections
- 7 years from the transaction, matching standard Australian business and taxation record-keeping practice.
- Material and weight records
- 7 years, or longer where we are required to keep them. These are records of material, not of you, and may be retained in de-identified form for reporting.
- Photographs you upload
- Deleted with the enquiry they belong to.
- Marketing consent records
- Kept while consent stands, and for 24 months after you withdraw it, so we can honour the withdrawal.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. We will unless we are required to keep it.
9. Access and correction
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything wrong. Email enquiries@resolveglobal.com.au.
We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. There is no charge for making a request; if a request takes substantial work we may charge a reasonable cost, and we will tell you before we do. If we refuse access we will explain why in writing.
10. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies it needs to function. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not track you across other websites. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostics. These are not used to identify you or to build a profile of your visit.
11. Automated decision-making
We do not use computer programs to make, or substantially inform, decisions about you. Every enquiry is read and answered by a person.
From 10 December 2026 the Privacy Act requires businesses to disclose any automated decision-making that significantly affects individuals. If we ever adopt such a system, we will update this policy before doing so.
12. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first. Email enquiries@resolveglobal.com.au with the detail. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and respond substantively within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. The current version is always at this address, with its version number and date at the top. Material changes will be noted here.
